hp Color LaserJet CP1518ni colors not aligned. even on greyscale

Hello. I just got this printer as a hand me down. the previous owner said it worked just fine before but, but they just needed a bigger printer.  When I print, all the colors are miss aligned. I've ran a firmware update and even installed Hp's universal drivers. I've 'hard reset it' as suggested in a another thread, and the printer still prints miss aligned. 

When I first got the printer, a peice of paper did jam in it, but it didn't seem to damage any insides as I don't hear any grinding. The paper went through with a tear in the sheet and that was it. this was caused by the paper tray being opened. No paper since then gets jammed or or has any wrinkles in the paper. only the colors are miss aligned.

I don't have an install CD.
