The printer no longer offers the option to print in color. This option is no longer available in the print settings window. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the printer. It didn't help. Everything works fine on my second laptop, which runs Windows 10, just as it did before. But something broke on Windows 11. I don't understand what exactly is wrong or how to fix it yet. I tried deleting all the drivers and downloaded the latest ones from the HP website. I completely uninstalled the printer. I tried both PS and PCL6 drivers. The computer with the problem is a Dell G3.

Please help me find a solution or options to try. Printing from an old PC where everything works fine is not an option. It's weak, has little RAM, and the files are large.

1. First make sure you have a proper HP driver installed and not a Microsoft IPP or Class driver installed.

On your PC go to the control panel app
Right click on Devices and Printers and select "open"
Right click on the icon for your printer and select "printer properties"
Click on the "advanced tab", and check the name of the driver. If it is one of the drivers mentioned above, delete the printer, download the current install package from support.hp.com and reinstall.
2. If you do have the proper HP driver installed do this:

On your PC go to the control panel app
Right click on Devices and Printers and select "open"
Right click on the icon for your printer and select "printer properties"
Click on the "device settings" tab and scroll down until you see "device type" and change to color
Device Type.
