hp laserjet pro 400 color m451dw firmware error won't go away

A laserjet pro 400 color m451dw was brought to me with a firmware error.  the minute you plug the printer up the error shows,  I turn the printer off and on till the error shows right away.  I need suggestions on what I can do to do a firmware update on this printer or is there something else I need to be doing?

Try to resend firmware through USB and hope it will work.

Yes, PC can't see M451 but it knows a USB device is connected and that's the only chance you got.

You must have M451 driver installed first and if you have more than one USB001 002 003 you may have to change them one by by one to see which one is the one that really connected with your PC.

Connect M451 and PC with USB cable -> send firmware -> change from USB001 to 002 003...... until you see firmware updating or processing..... on M451's front panel and hope it can finish the processing and save life back.

If it won't work than you need to replace the formatter which is the one your USB cable plugged into.
