Oh, and I promise, I'll rub off the Energy Star logo if I disable the sleep feature.

I am having the exact same issues. My Ipad, my wife's Ipad, and my wife's Iphone and my HP running windows 7 enterprise all constantly connect and lose connection 3-5x a day to the printer. I have purchased the exact same printer and set it up the exact same way on exact same router for my parents who live about 10 minutes from me and they have no issues at all. Any guidance to fix this is greatly appreciated.

Hi sgood96,

I would make sure that the router firmware is completely updated to the manufactures latest version, and then also

run the following firmware update Here for the printer.

When I click on your link to update firmware, it doesn't locate any printers.  Also, my router is using most up to date firmware

Hi sgood96,

You will need to make sure the printer is connected USB to the computer, and then try downloading the firmware again. Having the printer connected USB makes sure there is a secure connection between the devices while the printer is being programmed. Let me know what you find out?

The printer came back on the network and I was able to see it has the most updated firmware. I called my internet company (Century Link) and verified there is nothing wrong with my router or anything from their end. Ironically as I am typing this, the message just popped back up on my computer telling me "scan to computer no longer active" so the printer dropped off the network for the first time this morning.

Hi sgood96,

Ok, thank you for the update. Wireless signals can be interrupted for various reasons. I would like to have you connect the printer to the router using an Ethernet cable, and then let me know if you continue to see the issue?

I've been facing this same issue: intermittent wireless connection to the printer.  The printer works just fine when it's connected via USB.  But I'm not on a Windows computer, I'm on a Mac, so the instructions in this thread don't work for me.

I'm on a MacBook Pro running OS X.7.5 (Lion).

I've taken the following troubleshooting steps:

1) uninstalled and reinstalled the printer driver

2) downloaded and installed a driver update

3) installed the most recent printer firmware

None of these have made any difference.  I've been trying to set a static IP address for the printer, but my printer won't remain connected wirelessly long enough for the EWS to remain active. I'll get connected, go to the EWS and see everything green/looking good. But by the time I get to the IPV4 page, the connection will have dropped and I can't proceed.

I'm not sure what to do next. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
