Hi @arvindac,

Thanks for reaching out to the forums! I understand that all three lights are on.
I would be happy to help you.

Did anything happen prior to this? (changed toner, paper jam)

Make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (don't use a powered hub or a surge protector) This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.

Check for any paper jams, remove the toner and check inside that area and then reseat the toner again. Make sure that a piece of paper didn't partially get pulled in from the tray also.

Thanks Gemini02. I am gemini05myself!! Well the printer was fine until two month back when there was suddenly power cut, and since then it is not working. Tried reset, hard reset, called,hp support on phone and the guy from India on the other hand suggested same reset and hard rest via direct power connection to another Indian in US (myself), and it did not help. His final verdict, hardware problem, buy another hp, but I don't want to give up on it just yet. Will appreciate your help. I think it might just be a fuse problem, but not sure. It is not taking any command.

Thanks for getting back to me @arvindac.

Try removing the toner and restarting the printer to see if the same lights flash on the printer.

It doesn't sound like you have tried the NVRAM Reset yet.

I can send you that information in a private message.
In the forum beside your handle name just click on the envelope to view it.

Let me know the outcome.

Thanks for the information @arvindac,

Make sure the only cable that is connected to the printer is the power cable, if it isn't already to see if that makes a difference.

You could try and update the firmware. Reconnect the cable and see if the printer will be recognized. Most printer's will, as long as the printer has power, but it may not since you have the flashing 3 lights.

If the issue continues, the printer will need to be serviced.

Thanks!

Hi @arvindac,

For Consumer products, the printer is replaced, not repaired.

If you can figure out the issue, you can check to see if any parts are available for this model by checking out these sites:

You can contact HP Customer Support to find out what service or trade in options is available. Fill in the model number and the form to receive a case number for quicker assistance.

Thank you.
