Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
My printer is in error state . I've tried so many things but nothing works . Please help ! I have a laserjet pro 400 m401 dn
And I have windows 10 (64bit)

we will need a little more information before we can assist.

 

How is the printer connected? are you using a USB cable or an ethernet cable.

 

Unplug either usb or ethernet cable and cycle power on the printer. When the printer is powered back on in stand alone mode- will it print the internal test reports?

Using the button on the front of the printer, go to reports and try to print a configuration page (which will give you info about your printer including the firmware version) and run a service report, the bottom right corner of the service report has the Event log- (you can give us those error codes to help us troubleshoot i.e. 13.000 or 41.300 etc)

 

before you plug the printer back into your PC, check the pending print jobs for your printer and delete and jobs that are pending or in an error state. Do this by selecting the printer in your Devices and Printers folder- or by checking the system tray for a printer icon in the lower right of your windows screen.

 

Was the printer ever working?

I have the same issue.

 

firmware datecode is 10/26/2012

 

event code 41.3000 is in there may times   alonfg with 10.7, 10.3 and 13.0 10.33 seems to be the latest.

 

This was workgin fine and I got a new laptop with Windsows 10.
