This printer does NOT have a control panel with display or right arrow key; thus NO cold reset possible.

Need ability to reset to factory passwords for EWS.

Hi @C410C,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I am sorry to hear that the issue is resolved. I would request you to you please follow the below steps and try once.

Network Reset (Button Method)

  • On most HP printers without a display, press and hold the Wireless button (sometimes combined with Cancel or Wi-Fi Direct) for 5–10 seconds until the wireless light blinks.
  • This clears saved Wi-Fi credentials and resets the printer’s network settings.
  • After this reset, the EWS password usually reverts to factory defaults.

Firmware Update via USB

  • If the password persists, connect the printer to your laptop via USB.
  • Download the latest firmware from HP’s support site.
  • Run the firmware updater — this often clears stored EWS credentials.

Take care and have an amazing day!
