I'm hoping I've stated the error correctly. its symptoms evolved over a couple of days where now it turns itself off. we had purchased three cartridges. they are factory cartridges. the first one worked fine we depleted it of all it's toner. I do not kow what the status is for the next one which is the one we are on now. it was working fine. the first thing I noticed was I could not turn the printer off. The room the printer is in is kind of dark It is only as I start investigating that i see the aforementioned error message at this point it is not responsive to printing commands only displaying the error message and its now turning itself off and not allowing me to turn it back on without disconnecting waiting 2-3 minutes etc. and when I turn it on I better quickly go into set up or it's off again. Two things  (1) if anybody has a suggestion I'd like to hear it . (2) does this elable have a life expectancy or a time window in which it's viable do these things expire is there anyway around it?

@weaselsqueezens,

Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂 I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers. For you to have the best experience on the HP forum, you could also visit our HP Forums Guide for First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More. I see from your post that you're getting an error "Memory supply warning message on your HP LaserJet Printer. Don't worry we'll work together to help you find a solution.

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

Did this happen soon after replacing the toner?

Have you checked if there is no packing material inside the printer?

In the meantime, let's try these steps here:

This error could be due to several reasons:

1, The cartridge may not be seated properly, so please try to re-insert the cartridge, push it to its proper position,

2. The e-label may get damaged for some reason and this error message will be gone with new cartridge replaced. If you have recently replaced toner cartridge with the new one check did you removed an orange plastic clip from a toner.

Alternatively, I would suggest here is to follow the steps suggested in the support document for - A 'Supply Memory Error' Message Displays on the Printer Control Panel

Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance!

Eagerly waiting for your response!

that said, If the information I've provided was helpful,

give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons,

that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Good Luck.

Thank you Jeet Singh, The Laser Printer has been on this cartridge for a couple of months now when all of the sudden it started exhibiting these problems. the cartride in question has had all packing material removed and has been working for the longest time. the last new cartridge was opened for trouble shooting purposes only and was installed appropriately only to have the printer exhibit the same aforementioned problems. The previous cartridge which was and is still depleted of toner was introduced as well hoping for a new response unfortunately the response was the same. My trouble shooting mind is trying to put two and two together. The prongs on the printer that make contact with the elabel might need cleaning. I did that ever so lightly. but the thought that all of the labels could have malfunctioned seems incredible.  unless there is a time window whereby the elabels must be used or loose their viability.  that was a question that I have not got an answer to

@weaselsqueezens,

It's great to have you back and your patience is greatly appreciated.

After reviewing your post thoroughly, I suspect this to be a possible hardware failure with the printer. I will share you few details through a private message about the service options dedicated to your product, please watch your inbox for more information.

Let me know if this helps!

Have a great day ahead! 🙂

The 10.10 Memory Supply error is most likely caused by a defective chip on the cartridge itself. In certain models, for example the M630, forcing the toner in too hard can cause the toner sensor to come loose. The first place I would start would be to replace the cartridge. If it is still doing it after that, you have an issue with the sensor on the printer and may want to pull the service manual to see where it is located.
