some high gloss photo papers can damage laser printers because of the hi temperatures needed to fuser the toner to the paper. You just need to make sure you use papers that are identified to be used in a laser printer. They are usually identified on the packaging or box "for use in laser printers or photo copiers"
hi gloss photo paper for use in an ink jet printer is designed to absorb ink, where laser printer paper is designed more to allow for the eletrical bias needed to transfer the toner and the high heat requirements to bond the toner.
