This surely can't be right ................ I've just been told my new P1102 can't print Landscape.
I haven't heard that kind of thing being said since about 1987 when Symphony finally worked out how to print out spreadsheets in landscape format.
This can't be right surely?!
Can peope really still make printers that can't print landscape?
My problem is this, my old HP printer died recently so I bought this new one, the P1102. Was working lovely until I tried to print an Excel schedule in landscape. Just wouldn't do it, just printed it portrait regardless of what settings I tried to change.
Tried printing landscape in other software too, but only ever printed portrait.
Can someone either help me fix this oooooor (gulp ...) confirm that this new printer really can't print landscape.
I am gobsmacked that there are still being made printers that can't print landscape ...... say its not so ... please ....

Amazing .... I'm answering my own forum problem here as HP Support were unable to help me.
My inital problem was I couldn't print landscape form any software on my new Laserjet P1102.
I called support and they told me that the P1102 DOESN'T print landscape.
I was gobsmacked.
The guy then said he would jump on my machine to see if there was anything he could do, which he did, then confirmed my printer CAN NOT print landscape.
Confused I then checked a colleague of mine who also has a P1102 (hence my purchase) who say he has no problem printing landscape at all.
What the ......
I then spotted something ...... in my list of printers and devices the new P1102 was referenced as follows :-
XPS HP Laserjet Professional P1102 .......
XPS ........ what's that ....?! My colleagues doesn't say that.
So I uninstalled the printer and re-installed. Now works fine and most certainly DOES print landscape!!!!
No idea what XPS is or why it was there, I don't care, my printer now works fine, but HOW ON EARTH an HP technical support guy can say this printer DOESN'T print landscape is beyond me. Easy to miss the XPS thing maybe, but I can;t imagine there's been a printer unable to print landscape for about 30 years so why he said that I have no idea.
So, no faith in the support team here I'm afraid. Google was more help.
E- minus for HP, see the teacher!
