Hi,

I bought a HP officejet 6700 which is suited for Airprint. I connected the printer wireless to my laptop, which is working fine. But when I want to print with my Ipad or Iphone 5S it cannot find the printer. So I rebooted the printer, the router, the apple devices. All the software is up to date. But it still isnt working

I read on a forum that i should power down the printer when its on by plug out the electric cable. So I did, i powered it on again and my apple devices could print!! But when I restart my printer by the normal way (with the power button) the old problem is back. Air printer not found. When I plug out the electricable while the printer is on it will restart, so i can print with my iphone. But I would like to print with airprint by simply turing the printer on, not to reboot it first.

Can somebody help me?

Thank you in advance.

Robert

I am also going to provide a YouTube video on Using Apple's AirPrint to an HP Printer.

Hi Cheetah12,

Thank you for your reply!

I already used this document, and follwed these steps, unfortunately it didnt helped.

I tried to Contact them through email, but you have to fill in your warranty. HP does not recognized the serial number and product number, and when I try to let it detect it automatic HP cant find my printer.

I will give them a ring, hope they can help me.

Thank you very much!

Unplugging the power cord from the rear of my HP Officejet 6200 Pro and then reconnecting it fixed the problem for me.  I also recycled the modem and rouer, but I think it was the restarting of the printer that did the magic.

I just had this problem and rebooted the printer multiple times by turning off the printer. I followed the suggestion to unplug the printer and then plug it back in. All Apple devices can now find the printer. Thanks

I've tried rebooting the printer numerous times as well, but it hasn't helped.

The only thing that seems to fix it -- at least temporarily -- is when I reconnect the printer to my WiFi router by using the WPS button on the router. But then the next time I need to print, I need to reconnect it again.

This is strange because the printer always shows that it is on my WiFi network before and after I use the WPS button.
