Seems that when i pull out paper tray 2 of HP LJ P3010 there is a thing that is down, that should be up right, but is in the down position, such that the only way to put paper tray back in is to hold up thing with my hand and then put tray back in.  Is there anyway to repair that "thing"?

Looks like this is the duplex tray.  There is usually a green lever that lowers it and secures it in the up position.  It usually just snaps into place.  If the snap is broken, Your tray pick up assembly may have to be replaced.  Not a simple job.

Flip the printer up on its backside.  Find the green lever.  See if you can repair.

A photo of the "thing" would help us to help you, so we don't have to guess what is "thing".
