I have a printer that will not power I have owned it for a little over a year with lite use and today I went to print a job and it will not power up??  I tried another power cord off of another hp printer I have and that was not the issue.  Is there fuses in this printer or any reset power buttons that I am not aware of?

If nothing lights up at all then possibly the transformer inside the printer is defective.

If the cable has a built in transformer (wall wart) then the problem is the circuit board inside the printer.

What caused the problem:  recently power failure,? electrical storm?  Printer firmware upgrade?

If just over a year old possibly you might check to see if the date it was delivered is less than a year ago.  Printers usually have a warranty that starts from the date of manufacture unless you register it.

 

If nothing lights up at all it is likely a hardware problem and the printer cannot be reset.
