RESEARCH –
Was having the same problem reported by others, getting the "Error: Limit Check" message when trying to print PDFs. At first I thought the print job was too complex (two pages on 1, duplex), so I tried just printing a single page. Then tried printing from Adobe Reader rather than Preview, and setting up a second instance of the printer using the AirPrint driver instead of the HP driver.
Results of tests
- Preview w/ standard HP driver – fail, even on a single page
- Preview w/ AirPrint driver – success, even on complex job
- Adobe Reader w/ standard HP driver – success
- Adobe Reader w/ AirPrint drive – success
Something about the combination of the regular driver and Preview that seems to be funky. Could be the complexity of what I'm printing (credit card statements with lots of little type).
Thought I'd post this in case it would help someone else.
