This is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that you are getting "front cover door open or the toner cartridge is missing" error message on HP Laserjet 1022 Printer. I would like to help you resolve this issue.
Perform a power reset
- Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Wait at least 30 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
- Turn on the printer.
Remove all the toners from the printer and put them back in.
Click here and refer the document to know how to reseat them.
Let me know if that woks.
Cheers.

Thanks for the reply and trying the suggested step. The issue you are facing seems to be a hardware issue either with the toner or the printer.
Recommend you try to reseat the toner again, clean the electric contacts on the toner as suggested in this HP Article.
If the issue persists, please contact our phone support to check on the service options available for the toner/printer.
Let me know if this helped.

If you tried everything that was send to you in this post there is a hardware error on the machine. The sensor that says that the door is closed is not activated when you close the door. You should have it repaired if posible.
Hope this helped.
