I trying to get this all in one printer scanner to work with my HP DV6 windows 8.1 x64machine and so far all I've gotten is grief.
First it was that the installation could not find a file to even install ( serscan.sys)
All the other posts says that I need the file for a XP os.
Found one online, downloaded it and directed the installer to the download folder where it stopped at the second location request for the file where the installer said the file was not signed by microsoft.
Put the same file in the C:/windows/inf folder and it finally installed but with the scanner not working.
Running the HP printer scanner doctor said there was a problem in the device manage and the device needed to be uninstalled. At this point the only thing I can figured is the unsigned serscan file that was not properly signed.
Got a serscan.sys from a XP virtual machine uninstalled and reinstalled printer with the new file in the inf folder and now the installer throws up an error message...
going back to the downloaded file the device in installed but the printer doesn't work.

I think I found the propblem....the serscan.sys downloaded internet and the same I got XP machine.
Went into Windows/inf and deleted the serscan.sys.
Then windows/system32 and did a search for the serscan.sys where the search found a two files, an old one from about 2014(*i think) in a repository folder within system32 and another that was very recent in the system32 folder itself.
I copied the serscan.sys from the repository and pasted it in both the windows/inf and the windows/system32 folder, did a reinstall of the software from 123.hp.com and it all worked!

Hi @Jan8888,
Thanks for reaching out to the HP Support Forums for a solution to your scan issue.
I understand that you have installed an HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 4675 All-in-One Printer on a Windows 8.1 computer but the serscan.sys is missing.
I would start start by uninstalling all HP printer related software and drivers. Here is a support document that can help if needed - Uninstalling the Printer Software (Windows).
Next, try using the HP Printer Install Wizard to install the software and drivers. This tool will find the most recent version of the printer's software and help with the installation.
Please click “Accept as Solution ” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.
Click the “Kudos, Thumbs Up" on the bottom to say “Thanks” for helping.

I tried it with no luck.
Uninstalled the software for the printer, restarted and then removed the printer from the devicies and printers.
The HP install wizard seemed to install the same software, scanner part is still not working.
Running the HP Print and Scan Doctor showed an error in the device manager with the following message:
"Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)"
