black toner is full.  print is coming out light.  How do I set it up to print darker

If your printer output is too light then its much more commonly a problem with the physical printing system than a software or a configuration change.  Something is either not charging the paper correctly, attracting the toner or fusing the toner to the paper.

I suggest the light print, dark print or fade option.

 

you can also isolate the problem down a little further by performing a halfway test:

https://www.printertechs.com/printer-troubleshooting/halfway-test

 

With the halfway test you will see if the problem is in the fuser or the laser printing area of the printer.
