HP Color Laser Jet Pro M281fdw
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi,

I just bought some weeks ago an HP Color LaserJet Pro M281fdw printer.

When I have part of my text in colour, the printer defaults and prints in colour.

How can I change the properties of this printer with EXcel VBA so it prints only in B&W saving me the trouble to go and change manually the properties myself before each and every print?

thanks in advance

Vince

If you often want to only print in black you can create a second printer installation and have that driver set to only print in black. Once you have installed, do the following:

On your PC go to Control panel>devices and printers and then right click on the printer that you want to set as monochrome only and select printer properties. On the window that opens, click on device settings and scroll down to install able options and find "device type". by default it shows normally as "auto". use the drop down menu to change it to monochrome and all color features will be removed from the driver.
