@Rainbow, the user made no mention of this being a multifunction device. I have the same issue and would like a resolution. Regardless of where I print from (Win8, Win10, Mac, Phone) printing is EXTREMELY slow - 10 plus minutes for a simple web page. Network connectivity is "extremely good" but trying to ping the printer is not even always successful. It seems clear there is some networking issue with these printers but since the last firmware is 2015 there doesn't seem to be a fix coming.
I've reset my printer to factory defaults. I've hard reset it. I've done every configuration available to me. My printer is just a printer. Don't tell me to clear faxes or scan a document. Tell me what's wrong and fix it. I have a LaserJet 200 M251nw.

Hi @JaymesW,
Thanks for engaging in HP support Forums! This is a wonderful location to converse with the community, get assistance and find tips! I came across your post and wanted to assist you. I understand you are having issues with slow printing from your HP LaserJet printer. Don't worry as I have a few suggestions which should help you resolve this issue.
Let's try to print a test page from the printer control panel:
Use the following steps to print a configuration report from the printer control panel.
-
Load letter or A4 unused, plain white paper into the input tray.
-
On the HP printer control panel, touch the Setup icon (
).
-
Touch Reports, and then touch Configuration Report. The HP printer prints the configuration report.
If the test page takes long time to print, then I would suggest here is to perform a Hard reset on the printer:
With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Remove USB cable, if present.
Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.
If the test page comes out fine, then this could be an issue with the printer drivers. I would suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the printer drivers:
Could you please provide me with the results of the troubleshooting and with the details of the Operating system installed on the PC, so that I can help you with the steps to uninstall and reinstall the printer software.
Eagerly waiting for your response!
I hope you have a good day ahead,
And Feel free to ask your queries as this forum has some of the best people in the world available and ready to help.

Hi @JaymesW,
Thank you for replying,
As I understand you have tried to print a test page which came out fine, It looks like a firmware issue on the printer. You can try updating the printer firmware. Go to https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers to download and update the firmware. You might need a Windows PC to run the firmware.
Let me know how it goes for further assistance!
Cheers 🙂

Hello,
I am wondering if there was a solution found to this issue. I followed the steps described but when i turned the printer back on it said there was a paper jam.
Printing the configuration page is extremely slow. wireless printing the same. Once the file is received you can hear the printing in process.
So I think there may be something broken on the machine. Maybe we need some replacement part.
Any advice?
Many thanks,
Julia
