I am unable to access the https pages to update the security certificate.  I am using Chrome browser.  When I get the certificate error, and click the advanced button to go to the page anyway, I get a connection reset error.  The printer is running the latest firmware, 002_2539E.   I have not tried resetting the printer factory settings, because I can't find the administrator pin number label behind the cartridge access door.

Printer? there are several different methods to access the EWS and knowing the model is required to help you out with this.

Sorry, I thought that the printer was specified in the setup here.  The printer is

HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M479fdw

Yeah the programming asks for that info but does not post it. As for the 479, I believe that the PIN is inside the MP tray door or on the cartridge door and not on the cartridge carriage. I can confirm that tomorrow, but you will want to check there.

I don't have that label on my printer.  I have a regulatory label, but there is no pin number on it.  Right now I can't update the certificate because I can't access the https pages of the EWS.  I have tried everything I can think of other than resetting the printer to factory settings.  This issue appeared all of the sudden after a Windows 11 upgrade, although I am not sure what upgrade caused the issue.

I was contemplating this situation and on second thought I am not convinced that the 479 series shipped with the 8 digit pin code as I believe that program started long after the 479 was released. If that is the case then any password on the system would be one that you added, or if you never added a password you need to input one to access advanced setup features. I suggest you perform a factory reset which will clear any password you may have added but have misplaced,
