Hello, @Ed2727 – Hope you are well 🙂
Welcome to the HP Support Forums! It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts, and other support personnel!
I see that you are facing issues while printing the PDF files on your LaserJet printer. Let’s try to reset the printing system to try and resolve this issue. Here are the steps:
- Click the Apple menu icon, and then click “System Preferences”.
- Click “Printers and Scanner” / “Print and Scan” or “Print and Fax”.
- Right-click the blank space in the Printers list, and then click “Reset printing system”.
- Click “Reset” in the confirmation window.
- Enter an administrator username and password, and then click “OK”.
- Wait until the printing system is reset and no devices show in the Printers list
- Restart your computer and then go back to System preferences – Printers and scanners.
- Click the “Add button” (+).
- Find, and then select the name of your printer from the printer list, and then click “Add” to add your printer.
- Click “Print Using...”, and then select the name of your printer (By default “Airprint” would be selected)
Those steps should do the trick, let me know the outcome!
Good luck 🙂

The solution is much simpler that being move to the "advanced option" on the goggle print menu and select print as an image.
As I value HP due to my long history with the company, I cannot help but inform that you should get rid of your support team from India. I had owned the printer for 1 week and they wanted to charge me $150.00 to solve the problem. Considering the cost of the printer I was ready to return it until I thought I should try the web. IT now works perfectly and I am not $150.00 poorer.
BUt my confidence in HP has taken a blow.

Hello, @Ed2727
Thanks for the update & Great stuff! Glad to know that you were able to fix the issue 🙂
Now, you mentioned that your printer was 1 week old, but you were asked to pay for the support when you tried calling the HP support. Something does not add up there. I'm pretty certain that the first 1 year of support is absolutely free for your printer. Be it with software or with the printer hardware. Hence, I believe the number you reached was not really HP, but some other third party technical support team claiming to be HP which is an increasing trend with all major brands and companies.
In future, you can contact the HP support by following the steps below:
HP Technical Support can be reached by clicking on the following link: http://h22207.www2.hp.com/us-en/?openCLC=true
(1) Once the support page opens please select the country in which you're located. Next, enter your HP model number on the right.
(2) Next, choose the 'Contact Support' tab at the top and scroll down to the bottom of the 'HP Support- Contact' page to fill out the form provided with your contact information.
(3) Once completed click the 'Show Options' icon on the bottom right.
(4) Lastly, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select 'Get phone number.' A case number and phone number will now populate for you.
Visit us again if you have any concerns!
Thank you again and may you also have a great day and even better tomorrow 🙂

I tried your solution and it worked. However, I have to do it every time I change printers, which is often. Then I have to set up all of my printers, again, which is painful since I travel to multiple locations and have 9 printers that I use at least on a weekly basis. Is there any way to fix this issue once and be done with it? Thank you for your help! Carol
