My printer stopped printing in colour. Don't know what forced the change.

- testpage still prints in colour

- image in colour

- printer driver says "in colour"

- cartridges are full

- no actions taken are known to have been taken in the last few months that could have resulted in this unforeseen outcome

Can someone help me?

Double check your printer driver Printing Preferences options as well as the color setting in the print pop-up window when going to print. If everything still says color but doesn't print in color, try deleting and reinstalling the printer driver again, making sure to restart the computer after deleting the driver before installing a new one.

Sorry, not sure what you would like me to do here. I cannot install drivers on a chromebook. I connect to Cloud Print. Cloud Print works fine from other devices connected to cloud print.

I have double-checked the box "colour". Both "colour" and "black and white" print BW.

Checked possibility to uninstall, but cloud printer is connected to my gmail account, not to the chromebook per se. I can print from my account from other devices, just not when I print from my account on my chromebook.

What would you recommend as a next step for me to take to solve this?

So sorry. I've never had to deal with any Chromebooks, so I thought it was just another laptop computer, not a cloud based device. I have heard of such things, but never thought they would be much use and would never own one myself. Since you said printer driver says "in colour", I thought you had an actual driver installed. Since I know nothing about Chromebooks and how they're setup, I don't have any other ideas for you at this time. I'll look into it though and see what I can come up with if no one else does.

Ok. I have now been able to fix the issue. Although I can see I have connected to one printer, I find four different connections in a different screen. Apparently, some of these are BW only, where others also do colour. To make things interesting, they all share a common name. So, I have to keep picking printernames at random, until I happen to pick one that does colour. All in all not a really good solution, but it is a start.

Best,

J
