Universal
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

It appears the certificate on the unidrv.dll is expired.

This gives us problems installing printers unattended.

Is there a posibility to get around this problem?

We need to run a script for printer installation but without users having to click OK, or TRUSTED INSTALL.

I downloaded the latest universal printer driver for windows 7 PCL5 / PCL6 and 32 / 64 bit but all have the unidrv.dll with the old certificate.

Result is we have an issue with the printer distribution over our site.

Grtz,

John

Yes!!!

Microsoft MS16-087: Security update for Windows print spooler components: July 12, 2016 update (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3170005) completely hoses unattented printer driver updates. This is incredibly impactful; any Active Directory Group Policy printer deployment will no longer work.

Every printer manufacturer out there MUST use signed drivers or their enterprise Windows 10 customers will suffer.

Thanks!
