Followed instructions for installation (actually twice), printer is recognized by computer, printer says it's in stalled and ready, but when I open a program and try to print-it doesn't. I look at the que and all it says is error. I'm an HP fan, have several HP printers (3), and actually have another post online about a different one. What to do next? Thanks in advance for any help.

Lets try to collect more information with some follow up questions:
What happens when you PING the printers IP address from the computer?
Are you able to navigate to the Embedded Web Server of the printer by typing its IP address into a web browser?
Are there any error messages on the control panel of the printer?
Can you print a report direct from the control panel of the printer?
Can you print documents through a temporary USB connection?
When you switched the drivers did you complete a full uninstall, reboot and then reinstall with the latest software packages from HP for your printer and OS?
So far all we know is that your print jobs are going to a print queue and not being released. That queue may be corrupted but if so then it should have corrected itself with the reinstallation attempts you have taken so far. That or there may be a physical problem on the printer that is prohibiting it from printing anything.

Try a different print driver and see if it performs better for you.
You could also try to setup a manual port and print queue to your printer to see if perhaps the HP installation wizard is confused.
You might also want to look at your local firewall profile incase you have been accidentally moved to a more secure area than normal. Make sure you are fully connected to teh network and that your firewall is not blocking the communication. A good check in this area woudl be to try and ping the printers IP address from the PC.

I tried several suggestions I received and all present issues are resolved! Thanks for everybody's help! I had deadlines and no workable printer. As always, the forum seems to have the answer for me. (I'm not sure which suggestion or group of suggestions resolved my issue, but I'm happy it's working!)
