HP LaserJet M102w
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

In my configuration report, it said that the WI-FI Direct Setup is disabled. I would like to enable it. Then I go to the IP website, when I would like to click the HP web services or any other tags, it pops out a windows said that your connection to this site is not private. It asks for the username and password.

How can I get the username and password? In fact, I would like to enable the WiFi Direct Setup function. Many thanks.

Typically connecting to the EWS of the printer will show the non-private error as by default the SSL certificate on the printer, if there is one, will be self-signed, which browsers view as a security risk. The username/password request might be generated by your computer, in which case you would provide your windows login credentials. If the printer is asking for a user name and password it would be one that was set by someone. You can try the defaut which is user name: admin   there is no password by default.

Hi,

To clarify more forth, the specific printer model does not have any pre-configured administrator password.

The username would be admin (all lower case) and that cannot be changed.

The password would be any password configured by you, or by any other user of the printer.
