Hi All

Does HDX and Group series require a license to share content in a point to point and multipoint call.

Can any one please clarify me on this

Thanks

Simple stuff - is the GS monitor configured to display content?  Be sure that if you have one monitor a #2 monitor is not configured.

I know it is simple but easially overlooked.....

Content sharing should not require a license, however both ends must negotiate/support the content channel being initiated.  Also, any related infrastructure may require configurations/settings to allow the additional video channel.

Hi Joe

Thanks for the reply.

I was using my GS to dial an external SIP URI through my VCS expressway. And the SIP URI is belong to cisco codian 45 (external organization) where multiple participants from different organization were connected already and receiving content as well. But when i joined i was not able to receive the content on my GS. Any comments on this please.

Thanks

Sounds like the content channel is not being opened for some reason or is being blocked by a firewall.

Is your Group Series registered and, if so, to what?

Is the call SIP all the way?

If you get a packet capture in the VCS-e there may be some clues as to why the content channel is failing.

I've seen issues where if the content channel was not initiated by the originating end then the firewall doesn't have the proper ports open for receiving content from the far end.

Hi Joe

Thanks for your input.

My GS was registered to DMA (6.4.1_P2). Its completely a SIP call.

Will do further analysis and come back again.

Thanks & Regards

If you have a tech support or contact number for the company with the Codian you might call them to place a test call.  They can look at their Codian to see if it shows a content channel open with your GS.
