POLY GC8
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HI Team,

We have set up 3 devices with POLY GC8 and it has a Dell OptiPlex 7080 connected

We are facing an issue of the devices keeps logging off everyday and it pops up with the login screen , as the site is away from us the users has to login every day for the meeting . I have changed the sleep setting to never on the desktop and nothing has changed . All the windows updates has been done successfully but still it keeps logging off

Can some one suggest me  a solution to keep the thing ON always so the user`s do not have to login at the meeting

Hello @JESTINJOSEPH ,

Welcome to the HP community.

Unfortunately, your post does not contain the currently used Software version for the HP Poly product, the HP Poly Software, or the Partner application you are using.

This is important especially in the future when someone finds this post in days, months, or years to come. Please do not simply edit the original post but reply with the versions.

Have you yet contacted our Partner Microsoft as they are supplying the yet unknown operating system you are running, the Microsoft Teams application running on the device, and the Microsoft Teams platform you are registered to?

If an issue like this cannot be resolved via a public community post, please work with our support organization in your region. Details on how to contact us are in my signature

Best regards

Is the machine rebooting overnight causing it to return to the windows logon screen? Check event viewer or uptime to see if it rebooted recently. You could try setting up auto logon so it logs back in automatically.

Hello @nlev

the default settings of the OS and the image that HP poly provides for the MTR together with our Partner Microsoft has the nightly reboots in mind and should not need additional configuration.

@JESTINJOSEPH

you have multiple options:

  1. Contact Microsoft support so they can check your settings and the Teams platform with all the intune and other rules behind (Microsoft may ask you to do step 2 below). Only Microsoft can analyse the Logs for their Windows operating system, their Teams application running on the MTR PC, analyse the Teams logs on the Teams platform and any other system linked to Microsoft Teams.
  2. Re-Image a PC and apply all the software udpates again and see if this addresses your issue
  3. if still in warranty contact the HP Poly support team
(HP Poly support may ask you to do step 2 above first)

Best regards

Exactly right, that's why I suspect the nightly reboots might be causing the sign out issue. A dell optiplex was mentioned, so it might not be the standard image and may need some configuration.
