That worked for me, thank you.  I have a similar environment - i.e. no Intune.  This works fine for now, however at some point we would like to upgrade to the latest firmware.  I have logged this with Microsoft for further investigation.

I thought it worth actually posting on here, because I found the firmware downgrade & Teams app downgrade a useful work around – so thanks for that.

Moving on, since we’re not actively using Intune, I find it strange the Android devices were complaining about having to be registered there.  (We do have an Intune environment but it still in test).  After some analysis we found that the Microsoft Intune Plan 1 option was ticked under the account license in Teams Admin Center (Licensing).  Unticking that resolved the issue for us and we could upgrade the Poly systems to the latest.

The account was obviously no longer looking for Intune registration.  It comes bundled with the Microsoft Teams Room Pro license – so we didn’t realize that when we moved over from E3.

Hope that’s useful for anyone else having the issue out there!

Poly Studio X50 sign in (Teams) fails with 'Device Administrator is Disabled'. I have upgraded the Teams License for the email address I want to use for the Room, and I keep getting that error? is there anything else I need to do besides assigning the license to that specific email?

I upgraded the license to the Teams Room Pro.

We also upgraded to Teams Room Pro also, which includes an Intune license, which we do not use.  Additionally therefore, I had to go to https://admin.microsoft.com/Adminportal/Home#/homepage, find the account (Active User) of the room and under the Licenses tab – untick Microsoft Intune Plan 1

Did that help with the issue of not being able to log into the Poly x50?

you can't tick the checkbox in this page?

https://intune.microsoft.com/?ref=AdminCenter#view/Microsoft_Intune_Enrollment/DeviceAdminEnrollment...

after i tick "use device administrator to manage devices..." i can sign in on poly studio x50 with the last firmware
