Hello everyone!
I'm trying to replace the HDMI connection that we use for casting data from the notebook to the Teams meeting while using the Poly GC8, and i've seen that when u press the button "share" there is an option for casting . I tried using the casting from the notebook but it doesnt recognize any device, does someone know what does that function is for?

In other aspect, is there a device provided by HP that works entirely for casting to teams in a wireless way? I know that there are a lot of new devices that work for that matter but i'm looking for something that can be connected to the actual Poly, since i don't want to replace it.

Thanks beforehand!

Hello @Joam98 ,

Welcome to the HP community.

Unfortunately, your post does not contain the currently used Software version for the HP Poly product, the HP Poly Software, or the Partner application you are using.

This is important especially in the future when someone finds this post in days, months, or years to come. Please do not simply edit the original post but reply with the versions.

In regards to your actual issue our Partner Microsoft, not depending on a specific OEM MTR provider, has the ability to Cast to a room from their client.

This depends on some factors outside of the control of the MTR OEM provider aka Wireless, Account Specific Settings etc. but in Theoriy, when using a Microsoft Teams client, simply click on the "Settings and More" ... Option on the Top Left and select Cast.

if you require more details around this I suggest you check with Microsoft Support, as it is their App and their solution, or try a Microsoft specific forum, or await other Volunteers to reply to you,

Best regards

I've run into this limitation as well. I've found that joining the teams meeting from the laptop and then sharing the screen via teams works as a workaround.
