hardware versions/RTV

Hi....

this may seem a silly question, but I cannot seem to find a definitive answer.

What exactly is the difference between HDX 7000 rev A/B/C? also, what or which of these is needed to support the RTV licence?

The HDX 7000 rev A and B are the original HDX 7000 systems that could only do 720p. The HDX 7000 rev C can do 1080p and it is the only HDX 7000 rev that will support RTV.

Polycom is now shipping HDX 7000 hardware version D, which will support the same software features as the version C but does not have the outputs which are labeled VCR, the S-video and associated RCA connections.

This is documented in the price lists, the Admin Guide and the release notes.

Many thanks....so, if we need to upgrade any A/B systems, we need the hardware upgrade kit at $2k each!, making it in the region of 2750 dollars just to make them Lync 2013 compatible....nice little earner for Polycom....

Know it does not make it any easier, but there was a video processor change on the HDX units to keep up with the changes in the technology and that is the upgrade.  It is a change out of the daughter board on the system.
