@acidvenom wrote:So I guess that my note should work on Tyler processors. Are there any chance to make it work (BIOS modification?). My note has no warranty already, so I'd like to try.
If you are up to the task, the BIOS ROM file can be modified. That is beyond the scope of this forum. We don't discuss or give instruction on how it can be done.. There are other (BIOS Mod) websites that can provide the information that you seek. In this case Google is your friend.
Good luck with your BIOS coding,

All three of the following CPUs are compatible and would be a noticeable improvement.
AMD Turion™ X2 Ultra Dual-Core Mobile Processor:
■ M600 2.4-GHz processor, 2-MB L2 cache, 3.6 GT/s HyperTransport speed
■ M520 2.3-GHz processor, 1-MB L2 cache, 3.6 GT/s HyperTransport speed
■ M500 2.2-GHz processor, 1-MB L2 cache, 3.6 GT/s HyperTransport speed
RAM:
Customer-accessible/upgradable
PC2-6400, 800-MHz, DDR2
Supports dual-channel memory
Supports up to 8 GB of system RAM, in the
following configurations:
■ 8192 MB (4096 × 2)
Just do a Google search for HP Pavilion dv6-3031sa upgrade memory. Be certain that the company you buy it from guarantees compatibility. It is worthwhile if you have a 64-bit version of Windows. If your version is 32-bit then it is a waste of $$ or Euros.

Moved to notebook questions, other since these are software and firmware questions.

Hello,
I owe a Pavilion dv6695el, and I'd like to upgrade system RAM from the existing 2 Gb to 4 Gb. Is this laptop compatible with 800 Mhz RAM or must i choose 667 Mhz?
The motherboard (Quanta 30D2 79.2E) is updated to version F.59.
Thank you.

Unfortunately, the manual states that your systemboard accepts only PC2-5300, DDRII (667-MHz).

@NathanOakes95 wrote:Hi. I own a HP G61 110SA Notebook, currently with a Pentium Dual-Core T4300 2.10GHz CPU. I would like to upgrade the CPU to the intel i7 processor. Would this be compatible with my notebook?
It is not compatible with your notebook.
Your notebook's system board will only accept socket PGA478 processors.
Intel mobile i7 processors are socket FCBGA1224 and FCPGA988.
The Intel mobile i7 processor that you want to upgrade to will not operate or physically fit in the processor socket of the system board of your G61-110SA notebook.

Haven't found an answer to this question yet and I'm really trying to find a way to get this. I'm looking to see if there is a way to upgrade one or multiple of the USB 2.0 ports to the new USB 3.0 ports? I'm currently running a Pavilion dv6, model # VX069AV, 6GB of RAM, Intel 5 series/3400 series chipset, Intel (I think it's a quad) Core i5 2.40GHz, and an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650. I'm really hoping so. If not is there any way I can either update different parts of the computer to make it work and or adapters that might work with it.
Thanks
