Please reply to this question. The laptop is now my do-it-all, and I want to maximize its performance without having to build a desktop. Thank you.
Laptop cpu and mainboard Info is on previous page.
DV4-1548dx, would like to upgrade CPU. What are my options? Thank you.

Hello. I have a pavilion dv7-6175us entertainment laptop and I really want to upgrade the processor instead of buying a new laptop because its very difficult to sell the one I have for enough to make it cost effective to do that. Is it possible to upgrade the processor on this laptop? and if so which processors could I upgrade to with this model? thank you for any info. josh

I will edit this shortly. I have no idea why your images appear when editing but not elsewhere.
Please post the product name. Remove the battery and you should see it inside the battery compartment.

Oh I definitley intend on having a professional at a shop do it where theres a guarentee or something. I just wanted to know if it was possible. Also do you know if hp will do this for me?
I have never known anyone to ask before. It is probably not very likely but possible. I would expect it to be quite expensive to have it done by HP. The selection of the processor in a notebook PC is done during the purchase process. That is why some notebooks are designated CTO (configured to order).
HP does not do CPU upgrades at it's Service Centers..
