OMEN 15-ax033dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi and thanks in advance for any answers. I read a comment somewhere that on the Omen 15 models that the factory installed RAM is soldered to the board. Is there any truth to this? I've never heard of this before, but it's been a long time since I cracked open a laptop.

I'd really like to upgrade my new rig, but not sure I want to tackle something that is soldered to the board,

Hi! @SheltieDad, Thank you for joining the HP Forums!

I understand you need to know whether the memory is integrated into system board on your laptop.

Yes, As per the specifications of your laptop. Memory is integrated into system board and it is not a customer replaceable part.

No SODIMM slots - not customer accessible / upgradeable DDR3L-1600 Dual Channel Support Supports up to 16 GB maximum system memory in the following conƭgurations ● 16 GB ● 8 GB

Please refer maintenance and service guide for more information.
