Product: HP ENVY 6458e All-in-One Printer

My printer will not connect or give me a password to go any further.  It was connected and working before.

If asking for a password, then you must be using Wi-Fi direct.

Wi-Fi Direct is explained on page 28 of the User Manual, this Wi-Fi setup avoids configuring the router.

Get a network status report to obtain the Wi-Fi direct password.

Wi-Fi Direct can be used to avoid configuring the router. Watch this: 6xxx

 

page 5 shows how to turn Wi-Fi direct on or off and page 7 shows getting Wi-Fi information.,
