How can I set up a password for my printer, to keep just anyone from printing on it? I’m in college and I’ve had my printer set up for one day and if had four documents get printed from my printer that’s not mine, and I don’t want paper and ink to be wasted. Thanks!

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips, Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂

If your printer is connected to your college network, anyone connected to that network can find your printer and print.

To resolve this issue, I suggest using WiFi Direct. For instruction on how to print using WiFi Direct Click Here

If you are already using WiFi Direct, for instruction on how to change the WiFi Direct password  Click here

After opening that document, click on "How do I change the Wi-Fi Direct password, login settings, and printer name?"  and follow the instruction.
