I just wanted to report a bug in the HP helper app for iOS that when I request more than one copy printed from my iPhone, I always just get one copy. This has been true for the last several months. I don’t know any other way of reporting a bug, it is too difficult. Thank you

Hi there,

This issue usually happens because the HP Smart (Helper) app doesn’t correctly pass multiple-copy requests from iOS to the printer’s driver, especially after recent iOS updates. A few things you can try:

Update both the HP app and printer firmware – older versions often ignore the copy count from AirPrint jobs.

Try printing via the “Share → HP Smart → Print” option instead of the iOS print dialog — this route uses HP’s own driver path and often fixes the single-copy bug.

Remove and re-add your printer from iOS Settings → Printers. This resets the AirPrint configuration and can restore multi-copy support.

If the issue persists, open the HP Smart app → Account → App Feedback and send logs directly. HP’s dev team usually responds within a few days.

A few users on HP’s forums mentioned that this started after iOS 17 updates and was fixed after reinstalling the HP Smart app.

I'm using the new consolidated "HP App".  I had a hard time finding the submission guidelines for HP, so thank you for your help.  I will reply with what works for me!
