HP DeskJet 2600 Series
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi

I have a Deskjet 2600 Series Wifi Printer which does not seem to be detectable on Wifi, the printer report says its connected but no computer or Mobile application is able detect it.

I tried resetting the wifi settings on the printer, connecting it again but it connects for a minute and then disconnects (according to the Wifi router)

I even changed the Wifi Channel to one which is not too populated, all other devices seem to be connected except the printer.

The Wifi Direct network is able to work properly.

Please advice.

Hi

Thanks for your efforts but i have run it multiple times but it is not able to find my printer over Wifi.

Everytime i check, it connects to the Wifi for a few minutes and disconnects.

I have changed Wifi Channel, reset printer wifi settings. The only thing left is to reset the prinyer.

When I.ping the printer IP address it comes back with Destination host unreachable.

All other devices seem to be working fine.

Let's assign a Manual IP address to the Printer:

From the printer control panel, press the Wireless button ( ) and the Information button ( ) together to print the network configuration page. Obtain the IP address of the printer.

Type the IP address on your web browser to obtain the printer EWS page on your computer.

Go to "Network" tab - General - Select "Network protocols" - Select "Enable IPv4 only" (or similar) - Apply the settings.

Go to the “Network” tab – Click on “Wireless (802.11) – Then click on “Network address (IPv4)

Click on the radio button which says “Manual IP” and then click “Suggest a manual IP address” to give a manual IP address to your printer.

Click on radio button which says “Manual DNS Server” and under manual preferred type 8.8.8.8 and under manual alternate type 8.8.4.4 (This is Google DNS server address)

Let me know if this helps.

Any specific warning is shown by the report?
