HP OfficeJet Pro 8020
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

with a HP OfficeJet Pro 8020 series printer I use HP ePrint to send a mail to mymailadress@hpeprint.com and the document will be printed.

For years a confirmation mail came in confirming the print job was received. Was this mail canceled by HP? I checked spam folder and tried several sender addresses. It does not come in anymore.

Document printing is fine, just the confirmation is missing.

Is something known in that regards?

Thanks,

Birgit

Hi @bpoti,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand you’re using HP ePrint on your OfficeJet Pro 8020 series, and while documents still print correctly, the confirmation emails you used to receive are no longer arriving. Let’s go through a few points to explain what could be causing this.

HP no longer sends automatic confirmation emails for every ePrint job
– HP has gradually discontinued the job-received confirmation emails for many models.
– Print jobs still process normally, but the notification feature has been reduced or removed on the server side.

Check ePrint settings in HP Smart / HP account
– Sign in at HP Smart → Printer Settings → HP ePrint.
– Look for notification preferences; in many regions the option has been removed.

Confirmation is still shown inside HP Smart
– Open HP Smart → Print History → Check if the job shows as “Completed.”
– This now serves as the primary confirmation method.

Printing works, which means ePrint is active
– Since your documents still arrive and print, your ePrint address and cloud connection are functioning normally.
– The missing confirmation emails do not indicate any problem with your printer.

Spam or sender issues no longer apply
– Because HP stopped sending these notifications, nothing appears in spam or junk folders.
– Changing the sender address will not bring the confirmations back.

I hope this helps.
