I have a officejet 9125E. I’m trying to print a front and back obituary from Canva. I’ve used my iPhone, iPad and HP laptop, and it will print both sides but one side is upside down.

I can’t figure it out. I’ve looked at videos. I’ve tried everything. I’m missing something, I know I am.

Someone please help me.

Hi @theycallmeSunny

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Printing double-sided documents like an obituary can be tricky, especially when one side ends up upside down. The issue likely lies in the duplex printing settings for your OfficeJet 9125E.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to resolve it:

1. Adjust Duplex Printing Settings

When printing double-sided, it’s essential to choose the correct page flip orientation (long-edge vs. short-edge binding). Here’s how to do it:

On HP Laptop:

Open the Print dialog in Canva (Ctrl+P or Cmd+P).

Select the OfficeJet 9125E as your printer.

Look for an option like Two-Sided Printing or Print on Both Sides.

Change the setting to Flip on Long Edge (standard for documents that open like a book).

If this is already selected, try Flip on Short Edge (used for flip charts or calendars).

Print a test page to verify.

On iPhone/iPad:

From Canva, tap Share and choose Print.

Tap Options under Printer.

Enable Double-Sided printing.

Look for Orientation or a similar setting (this may appear as "long-edge binding" or "short-edge binding").

Ensure it’s set to Book Style (long-edge binding).

2. Use HP Smart App for Better Control

The HP Smart App provides more advanced control over printing settings:

Open the document in Canva and export it as a PDF.

Launch the HP Smart App on your device and load the PDF.

Before printing, go to the Print Settings:

Enable double-sided printing.

Select Flip on Long Edge to avoid upside-down pages.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
