Your printer’s email address is part of HP ePrint. You can find it by: On the printer, tap the HP+ / HP ePrint / Web Services icon on the control panel screen. If Web Services are enabled, your printer’s email address will be shown there. If they’re not enabled, you’ll need to turn on Web Services first—the printer will then generate an email address for you. You can also see or manage the printer’s email from your HP Smart app or the HP Smart (123.hp.com) account you used when setting up the printer.

Although Print Anywhere shares some of the underlying structure of the old ePrint technology, Print Anywhere is a different service, including the way it is accessed (though the HP Smart / HP App application).

What is HP+ Service / Contract?

When the HP+ service contract is enabled, the printer is added to your HP Smart / HP Connected account.

AND

• Menus related HP App / HP Smart might be changed to Orange.
• Premium scan features are added to the printer after setup.
• For new printers -- The original hardware Warranty is extended for an additional year.
• You agree to use only HP genuine cartridges (no refills or 3rd party remanufactured).
• Once enabled, HP+ cannot be cancelled - Should you wish to dispute, Contact Support.

Requirements for HP+ printers

This topic describes the requirements for HP+ printers.

NOTE: HP+ is only available in some countries/regions

Keep the printer connected to the Internet

HP+ printers are cloud-connected devices that must remain connected to the Internet in order to function. The
Internet connection enables the printer to deliver HP+ specific app features and firmware updates.

During setup, you must connect the printer to the Internet using a supported network connection. After setup, you can print using a USB cable connection, if desired, but the printer must still be connected to the Internet.

Use Original HP cartridges

Original HP cartridges are cartridges manufactured and sold by HP in official HP packaging. If non-Original HP supplies or refilled cartridges are installed, HP+ printers will not operate as expected.

Instant Ink is a Print-by-Page subscription.

You are paying to print a set number of pages each month.

Each plan, small or large, comes with as much ink as needed no additional cost.

True -- The subscription is billed each month -- Instant Ink is not a "pay if you use" service.

What is "Free Ink"?

There is no extra cost for ink.

Ink is provided as part of your subscription - use a drop or use a cup full, ink is included at no extra cost.

Important

After the initial Ink Kit is mailed out, ink is sent (only) when the printer notifies the service that ink is depleted and a shipment is needed.

• All ink activated by the plan and all ink sent to you works as along as the trail / subscription service is active.

• Subscription / Instant Ink remains the property of HP and should be returned to HP at close (termination) of the service contract.
