Had wifi issues so initially set up the printer using a USB cable and so did not configure the wifi/enrol for instant ink until about a week later. It was only when looking through the help pages I discovered in order to claim your trial, you must enrol during printer set-up or within 7 days from setting up your printer. Whereas the Instant Ink Free Trial was highlighted as a major advantage in buying the product this limitation was not. Susequently when I enrolled my account did not list my free months.

Luckily a phone call to HP support on 0207 6600596 option 2, option 2 cleared up the matter and the credit appeared in my account before I had time to put down the phone! To claim two more free months at the time of enrolment apply the code FREEINK and also refer a friend code, in my case rhvLm

Hey there! @Deskjet999, Thanks for stopping by the HP Support Forums!

I understand you forgot to activate the free trial after registering to instant ink program.

Don't worry I'll try to help you out.

Did you make any changes to your printer?

Have you registered for instant ink services?

Please check the contents of your printer box for an enrollment code relating to your trial.

If you have the printer enrolled and if the trial was not applied, Please send me a screenshot of the trial through a private message with the details below.

So, I can look at your account and get the trial applied.

Please share us few details through a private message, so I can check the account details and help you in crediting the free months to you.

Printer Model Name

Serial Number of the printer

Instant ink Email Address

Instant Ink Account Number

Address to ship the cartridge

Do you need black or colour ink cartridges?

Thanks for the offer of help but the reason I posted was to show it was sorted in my case with a phone call. More importantly it was to highlight the time limit.
