Hi razorjack, firslty my apologies for not replying sooner. I had composed a reply and presumed it had psoted but when I checked your thread my post had auto-saved and hadn't actually been added to the thread you started.

If you want to print emails that you receive to your Gmail account then forwarding them from the Android device to the printers email address is the most direct way to do this. The printers email address is a real address and so you can treat it like any other email address i.e. you can save it in your Gmail contact so you don't need to type it in the "To:"field each time you want to send to it.

Also the ePrint mobile print app is a nice option for printing photos and documents that you've got stored on your device. It also works well for web pages but for printing emails I would use your email client e.g. Gmail, to either forward an existing email or compose a brand new email to the printer email address.

Post back with any questions or if you're having any problems and once again sorry for the delayed response.

Hi there, you have a couple of choices when it comes to printing from your Android device to your Envy 4500 printer. If your preference is to send the files you want printed as attachments to emails to the printers ePrint email address then you'll want to make sure you've done the following:

  1. Enabled Web Services on the printer itself to print a confirmation page with the printers email address on it
  2. Have both the printer and the Android device connected to the internet, though not necessarily on the same network
  3. When sending the email from your Gmail account make sure you've entered the printer email address correctly. The first part of the address will be a string of letters and numbers (unless you've already customised the address) and it should end in @hpeprint.com
  4. The file attachments you're trying to print should comply with the capabilities of the service. Check out this link for possible causes and solutions to why ePrint jobs don't print http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03601466

I mentioned there are several ways in which you can print from your mobile device to your Envy 4500, check out this link for more information and post back if you've questions about any of the above

Hi Arkle1,
Thanks for your reply.I seem to have it sorted, well I hope so.I have managed to print a couple of emails. The way I have done this seems a bit long winded so I am not sure if it is the correct way.

I forwarded the email to the printer email address and it worked. Before I was selecting print on the email page which then took me to a Google cloud page and asked for details where the mail should be sent.I tried the original address which the printer gave me,then my customised email, then the printers name and number to no avail.
I have to add that I did download an hp printer so,which I registered with and which recognized the printer.
Anyway it has printed emails for me but I have not yet tried to print a application form I need printed off. Here's hoping all goes well.
Have I gone about the printing the correct way?Silver surfer here trying to learn. Thanks again.
