HP 8600 not printing from tray 2 when using HP App on iOS

So, I removed the app from my iPhone, re-installed it, and tried again. This time, it worked! What's very strange, though, is that I did not delete and re-install the app on my iPad, which is where I first encountered the issue. Mysteriously, though, it printed fine from my iPad as well - using the correct tray. I'm not sure whether it was the app or the service. Judging from the success on my iPad (without having removed and re-installed the app) I'd venture to say that the problem was with HP's online service. The reason I say this is because there are other problems with the online service, having to do with the time syncing feature (Use the same time zone set on this computer), which resets my printer time back to 1:00 am whenever it is applied.
