I can print from iphone to OfficeJet 9010. Laptop recognizes wireless printer. Says I have an error and will not print from Lenovo printer. This hasn't always been the case. I've restarted both laptop and printer to no avail.

Hi @Sparky0206,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I am sorry to hear that  you’re facing issues printing from your Lenovo laptop to your HP OfficeJet 9010 while having no trouble printing from your iPhone, I would request you to please follow the steps:

Verify Printer Connection

  • Make sure the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Lenovo laptop.
  • On the printer’s control panel, check the Wi-Fi icon to confirm connectivity.

Check Printer Status in Windows

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
  • Select your HP OfficeJet 9010 → click Manage → ensure it’s set as the default printer.
  • If you see multiple instances of the printer, remove duplicates.

Clear Print Queue

  • Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click your printer → See what’s printing → cancel all pending jobs.

Update or Reinstall Drivers

  • Visit HP’s official site and download the latest drivers for the OfficeJet 9010.
  • Alternatively, uninstall the printer from Devices & Printers, then reinstall it using the updated driver package.

Check Firewall/Antivirus Settings

  • Sometimes firewalls block printer communication.
  • Temporarily disable your firewall/antivirus and try printing again.
  • If it works, add the printer software to your firewall exceptions.

Use HP Smart App

  • Install the HP Smart app on your Lenovo laptop.
  • It often resolves connectivity issues and provides guided troubleshooting

Take care and have an amazing day!
