Hi All,

So hoping someone can help. I have a HP LASERJET M232e series printer and I’m really looking for some help. I’ve been on the phone with HP for over four hours and no luck. So I reset my printer back to factory because beforehand I changed the admin password and couldn’t remember it. Once we changed it back everything is back to factory settings but now I haven’t been able to get the green cloud symbol back on HP Smart so I can print anywhere. It seems like we’ve tried everything and nothing is allowing it to print anywhere. I’m able to print when connected to WiFi but from cellular data it’s saying the device is unavailable. Really starting to aggravate me tremendously. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Wildweather1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP Print Anywhere for HP LaserJet M232e Series!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Reconnect Your Printer to HP Account:

  • Ensure that your printer is connected to the internet and associated with your HP account. This is crucial for using HP Print Anywhere.

Enable HP Web Services:

  • Make sure that the HP Web Services are enabled. You usually set this up when you first install the printer or connect it to the HP Smart app. If it's not enabled, refer to your printer’s manual or HP support site for steps to enable it.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Ensure that the printer firmware is up to date. Firmware updates can fix connectivity issues and improve printer features:

Reinstall HP Smart App:

  • Uninstall and reinstall the HP Smart app on your device to refresh the connection and configurations.

Reconnect Printer to the HP Smart App:

  • Open the HP Smart app and ensure your printer is added to the app. Follow these steps:
    • Tap Add Printer if your printer does not appear.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to add your printer.

Setup Print Anywhere:

  • After adding the printer to the HP Smart app, tap on the printer icon, and then go to Printer Settings.
  • Select Print Anywhere and follow the instructions to enable it. Ensure you are signed in with your HP account credentials.

Check Network Connectivity:

  • Confirm that both your mobile device and printer are connected to a stable Wi-Fi network. The connection often needs to be on the same network when setting up features.

I hope this helps.
