Hi @Jen968,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
I'm really sorry you're going through this. Losing access to your saved files can feel like misplacing a piece of your day. Let's gently walk through how to retrieve your documents from the HP Smart App on iOS, and get you back on track
Step-by-Step Recovery Guide:
- Open the HP Smart App on your iPhone.
- Tap the account icon (top-right corner) and make sure you're signed in with the same HP account you used when saving the files.
- Navigate to the “Files” or “Smart Tasks” section.
- Look under:
- My Scans
- HP Smart Cloud
- Recent Documents
- If you exported files to your device, check:
- Files App → “On My iPhone” or “iCloud Drive”
- Photos App → Look for scanned images
- HP Smart App Storage → Go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage > HP Smart to see if the app still holds data.
If You Recently Updated the App:
HP recently transitioned to a new unified HP App, which may have caused saved files to appear missing. But don’t worry, they may still be recoverable if:
- You were signed in with cloud sync enabled.
- The app still shows storage usage (indicating files are present but not linked).
I hope this helps.
Take care and have an amazing day!
