Hi @Levente16,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I hear that, yes,  for printers released before 2020, the claim code and HP ePrint email address are normally available after Web Services is enabled. Since your printer screen is broken, the best workaround is to use the printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS) from a web browser and print the Web Services information page.

What to do

Make sure the printer is connected to the internet.

Web Services does not work if the printer is connected by USB only.

Find the printer IP address.

  • In HP Smart, click your printer image, then Network Information.

  • On printers without a touchscreen, you can usually print an Information Report using the Information button on the printer.

Open the printer EWS in a browser using the printer's network address.

Go to the Web Services tab.

  • If prompted, enter the printer PIN from the label inside the cartridge access area or printer door.

Enable Web Services if it is off.

  • Click Continue or Enable and follow the prompts.

After Web Services is enabled:

  • For most printers released before 2020, an information page prints automatically with the HP ePrint email address and printer claim code.

  • If it does not print, in EWS click Print Info Page or Print Information Sheet under Web Services settings.

If the page still does not print

  • HP says that on some printers, the text shown before @hpeprint.com can be used as the claim code if visible through Web Services information.

  • You can also try printing a Web Services Information page from the printer controls if available for your model.

If your claim code gives an error

Reset Web Services in EWS, then turn it back on to generate a new claim code. This removes custom ePrint settings but can fix claim code problems.

I hope this will help.

Take care and have a good day.

Hi!

The webservices are enabled, but the printer doesnt print the information sheet, that contains the email, or the claimcode. I have tried multiple times to restart the webservices, it still wouldnt print the page. If i click the button to print the email and the claim code, it just reloads the page and the printer does nothing. When I enable webservices, it tries to open a webpage but the site is discontinued, so it cant load the page. How could I solve this error, to print the informations?

Hi @Levente16,

Thank you for your response.

If Web Services is enabled but the information sheet does not print, HP guidance indicates these key points:

  • The printer ePrint email address can often be found on the printer control panel under HP ePrint / Web Services / Network Setup / Wireless Settings.

  • You can also find the printer ePrint email address in your HP Smart account next to the printer name.

  • If prompted, follow the steps to enable Web Services or claim the printer.

  • If a printer was previously owned or still linked to an older account, turn Web Services off and then on again to print a new info page with a new printer code.

  • If the info page shows a customised email address, the printer may already be associated with an HP account.
