HP OfficeJet 200 Mobile Printer

Hello

I have a mobile printer setup in a truck and we send invoices by email to that printer.

The printer is connected to the internet using a mobile hotspot which always has internet.

Between 9am and 6pm there are almost no problems printing with hp ePrint, but before and after these hours the printer doesn't work well.

It doesn't print sometimes or it prints after 1 hour.

The printer is setup correctly and always has internet, there is absolutely no difference in the conditions before 9pm or after 6pm. The only problem I can think off is the difference in the server.

I have setup everything correctly and already did a reset and all the troubleshooting there is.

Am I the only one experiencing this problem?

I would guess that you are correct.

During normal business hours - almost anything other than in the middle of the night - the Internet, the servers, even the service provided by your ISP, are much busier.  That the service is working better during this time than during OFF hours is perhaps actually a good thing for most people.

And, No:  You are not the only one facing the issue of delays.   It might be better or worse than "average" where you are located, of course.  So many places for the data to slow down, fail, stop and turn around (OK, that is not true), falter...

What to do?

Not sure.

The only thing you can do on your side is purchase the very best, fastest technology and network to ensure that any slow-downs are not within your area of control.  Admittedly, having a printer mounted in a truck might reduce your options.

If you have not done so, see if you can get your ISP (Internet Service Provider) to tell you whether they are slowing service during the off hours.  Why would they do this?  Save money?  It is just a thought.

Personal Observations

Although lots of people use ePrint for business, it is not actually a business tool.  This just means that the service is provided as "best possible" but there are no guarantees of proprietary service.

If you have a similarly connected computer in that truck, log in and check your router logs for anything that indicates what might be happening during the hours that service is spotty.
