Seems registration server for HP ePrint is down again. I have an older PC that I am still able to remote print to an off-site older LaserJet. But I have upgraded to a new PC and installed the HP ePrint software but I cannot register the software on the new PC because the verification code that is supposed to be sent by email never arrives. I've checked all spam settings - email is just not being sent by the HP server. Can someone from HP respond to this note? Is anyone else having same problem?

Hi @atlupo,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I completely understand how frustrating this is. Getting stuck waiting for a verification email that never arrives is incredibly annoying. Let’s go through a few endorsed steps to resolve this properly and get your new PC's ePrint working without losing time or data.

1. Confirm Printer Supports Web Services & ePrint

Without Web Services enabled, the printer can’t register for ePrint. Follow these steps:

  1. Print a Network Configuration Page from your printer control panel.
  2. Check for Web Services status; if disabled, you'll need to enable it via the printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS).

2. Turn Web Services Off & On Again

Sometimes resetting Web Services resolves email verification failures:

  1. Access the printer's EWS
    • Print the Configuration Page, note the IP address, then type it into a web browser.
  2. Go to Settings → Web Services section.
  3. Click Remove Web Services / Turn Off, then wait about 5 minutes.
  4. Click Enable Web Services and follow the on-screen prompts to re-register.

This reinitializes the connection with HP's cloud servers.

3. Check Network and Firewall Settings

Network rules can sometimes block emails from HP’s servers:

  • Ensure the printer is on a 2.4 GHz network.
  • Avoid Wi‑Fi guest networks or VLANs.
  • Confirm date/time settings are correct; incorrect timestamps can prevent secure connections.

4. Update Printer Firmware

Firmware issues might block registration:

  • Under EWS → Settings → Firmware, click Check for updates.
  • If a new version is available, install it and restart the printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!

VikramTheGreat is indeed great!

I gave the registration one last attempt before trying your suggestions and still no change.

Then I checked all the settings you indicated (web services, etc.) and all was OK. Finally, as you suggested, I turned off web services on the printer, waited 5 minutes, and then turned it back on. That did the trick as the registration service now sent out the registration code email. I entered the code and was able to proceed. I did have to search for the printer's hpeprint web address but it was found and remote printing is now operational on the new PC.

Thanks so much for you help!

Hi @atlupo,

That’s great news! 🎉

Thank you for taking the time to share the update.

I’m really glad to hear that turning Web Services off and back on resolved the issue and that the registration code was successfully generated. It’s also good to know you were able to locate the printer’s HP ePrint address and get remote printing working on the new PC.

You did exactly the right troubleshooting steps, and your detailed feedback will definitely help others who may run into the same situation.

If you need any further help with HP Web Services, ePrint, or anything else, feel free to reach out anytime. Thanks again for the kind words and for keeping us posted! 😊

Take care and have an amazing day!
