Hi @Conure1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

We Understand How Frustrating This is. You tap Print, expecting the email to glide onto paper…
But instead, your phone suddenly says: “Spooler blocked”, “Spooler has stopped”, or
“Spooler blocked (app name hidden with bleep)”. It feels like something invisible is blocking the printer, even though you already gave all the permissions. Don’t worry, this is a common Samsung/Android print‑spooler glitch, and we can fix it.

Fix 1: Clear the Android Print Spooler (MOST COMMON FIX)

  1. On your Samsung Galaxy, open Settings
  2. Tap Apps
  3. Tap the three dots (⋮) in the top‑right
  4. Choose Show system apps
  5. Scroll to Print Spooler
  6. Tap Storage
  7. Tap Clear Cache
  8. Tap Clear Data
  9. Restart your phone

Now try printing again.

This alone fixes the issue for most people.

Fix 2: Reset the Default Print Service on Samsung

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Tap Connections
  3. Tap More connection settings
  4. Tap Printing
  5. Turn Default Print Service OFF
  6. Turn Samsung Print Service Plugin OFF
  7. Turn both ON again
  8. Try to print your email

This forces Android to refresh the printing system.

Fix 3: Update HP Print Service Plugin

Samsung phones rely heavily on this app to talk to HP printers.

  1. Open the Google Play Store
  2. Search HP Print Service Plugin
  3. Tap Update if shown
  4. Restart your phone
  5. Try printing again

If it says “Open” instead of “Update,” it’s already updated.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
